About ai_story

AI Story takes a story topic and builds the whole video: script, storyboard, images and clips. You run it yourself with Docker Compose, so there's no hosted sign-up. Your own paid API keys are needed for the image and video models. Docs are in Chinese, and the license blocks commercial use.

Best for: Story-video makers who need a self-hosted pipeline for explainers, kids' tales and other story videos.

• Rewrites a topic or outline into a script, with style presets and saved versions
• Splits the script into shots with descriptions, narration, image prompts and timing
• Generates images in batches, shows progress, retries failures, lets you edit prompts
• Picks camera moves (push, pull, pan, zoom, static) to match each scene

   Make a compose file with the redis, backend, celery and frontend services (images xhongc/ai_story-backend and xhongc/ai_story-frontend).

   Start everything with docker-compose up -d or docker compose up -d.

   Create an admin account with the command below.

   Open http://localhost:3000 and add your AI model providers in the settings.
