About openframe

Openframe is a free AI comic-drama studio for solo creators, in the browser or on desktop. Write or adapt a script, and it pulls out characters, props and scenes, then plans shots and makes keyframes and shot videos on a timeline. Export one merged video, or FCPXML/EDL to finish in Premiere or DaVinci. Expect to bring every API key yourself: the README has no setup steps, and the license is AGPL-3.0.

Best for: Solo creators who want the whole script-to-shots flow in one free app and finish edits in Premiere or DaVinci.

   Easiest: download the installer from GitHub Releases (v0.0.24 has a Windows .exe, Mac arm64/x64 .dmg and a Linux .AppImage).

   From source (pnpm 9.12.2): the command below then pnpm install

   Start the desktop app with pnpm dev, or the web version with pnpm dev:web.
