About ltx-video-mac

LTX Video Generator is a Mac app that makes video clips on your own machine. Type a prompt or hand it a photo, and it renders video with sound. You'll need an Apple Silicon Mac with 32GB RAM and plenty of free disk space. Voiceover and music features need a paid ElevenLabs API key.

Best for: Apple Silicon owners who want to render short AI clips locally instead of paying for cloud video tools.

   Download the latest release from the GitHub Releases page.

   On first launch, open Preferences (⌘,) and click Auto Detect to find your Python install.

   Click Validate Setup, then install missing packages with one click, or run the command below.

   Type a prompt, adjust the settings, and click Generate. The model downloads on first use and can take 15-30 minutes.

   Turn on API Server in the sidebar to send jobs to http://127.0.0.1:8420/generate.
